Trading Is Not About Winning or Losing

I had a talk to a very close friend of mine. He is a very successful business owner with a very wide range of business. He built everything that he own now for only 3 years. He is a multi-millionaire and live his life the way he wants it to be.

He shared few words with me, he told me about his last failure, he lost an owed about USD 15 millions plus another 2 mio of his own. He almost give up in business, with a good bachelor degree that he graduated from a high reputable university he surely can get any job in his field with a good pay. He almost did that. But he refused to give up. This is a very typical story about a successful man. But his words to me really touch my feeling as it also stated by Bill William, the Chaos Trading inventor. "That failure was a process, my previous victory was also a process, if you focused on it you wont get yourself anywhere". That's the exact words from our Mr. Bill William, we should see the profit and lost as the process for us to be a good trader, the ultimate trader.

When talk about the process, only our own self can judge either we are following the process with the right track or not. Other people can't help us on this. People will judge us base on our contents (result). But only your own self can judge is the process running as it suppose to be? Are we trade our last mistake or avoiding it? This is the purpose of morning pages, write down everything of your thoughts, to see either the process to be the ultimate trader is running or stuck.
